I just purchased an 85 camaro z-28, very happy with it and glad to be on the forum.
So the question i have is when i am on the highway in overdrive and i give it full throttle it doest catch a gear it just revs, i let off the gas and it goes back into OD. if i put it say 2/3 or 3/4 throttle slowly it will catch 3rd.
Can anyone shed any light on this for me? i have been searching and cant seem to find anything, its also kind of frustrating too!
The car shifts pretty good 1-2, 2-3, 3-4 sometimes a little harsher than i would like but still good.

Aside from fluidd chnge and tv cable adjusting....ITS REBUILD TIME.

 

oh man thats what I was thinking.
how hard are they to re-build? is it cheaper to get one with all the mods already done?
