Advice on my 700r4 swap?

Alright I have posted on here a few times getting the right idea of what I need to do etc for this swap. I think I have most everything down so I wanted to post it and get opinions on if it will all work out fine or not.

I am swapping out the TH200c 3 speed with a 700r4. The shop I am taking it to will build up a provided core with stage two gears, a 3000 TC that will not have lockout( they say its a pain to do) , unsure on gears in the rear with a posi/LSD.

I can get the 700r4 for $150 locally that needs rebuilding, and will be checking the junk yards later this week for a better deal. I am thinking of doing the 82-92 posi rear end from Hawks, but not sure if that's the best one to go with on a budget, $300 for that ( rear discs with maybe the 9 bolt would be nice but that's $200 more) They said I will also need the TV cable and linkage. not sure on price for that. I will most likely do a B & M mega shifter while I'm at it and do a transmission cooler.

I'm looking at roughly $2000 with parts and labor which is big, but cheaper than other shops around here. Anything else I might need? or anything I have wrong here?

Re: Advice on my 700r4 swap?

My buddy said he could help me rebuild it and install for much cheaper, which got me thinking. Whats stopping me from grabbing a Haynes manual, and rebuilding it myself with the Monster in a box rebuild kit. Is it possible for someone with no transmission knowledge to do this with a guide?
