700R4/Shift kit question
Hey guys i just got a quick question i couldn't find an answer to. When looking at shift kits for my transmission a lot of them say they allow you to be able to down shift in any gear. My 700 already allows me to down shift manually though from any gear. Were the 700R4's made this way or could my transmission already have a kit in it. It doesn't shift hard or fast like kits advertise is the reason i'm skeptical it has one. Thanks

Re: 700R4/Shift kit question
It is probably telling you that you will be able to downshift at any speed. With a stock 700 at 70 mph you can throw it in low but it should not accually catch 1st. (I don't recomend trying this). If you install the shift kit this way it will down shift into 1st at 100 mph if you tell it to. Not a pretty thing to do.
