Nothing seems to fix 700r4

A couple months back, my trans starting shifting at a higher rpm level than normal. It wasn't much, maybe around a hundred or so more than usual but it was enough to notice it if your familiar with the car. So first things first, I changed the TV cable. I adjusted it properly and all that did was delay the inevitable. So 2-3 months later I end up getting a guy to put in the corvette servo deal with all new bands, clutch packs, whatever, I don't really know much at all about automatic transmissions. Ok great, I get the car back, sweet. Shift points are higher than originally, but I thought it was due to the new parts. Give it around 2-3 hundred more miles and bam, same issue. I take it back to the guy and he replaces the governor. It's fine for another 300 miles and now it's starting to have the same issue again.

Here's how the trans acts as of today:
-Manually shifts into ever gear, including park and reverse just fine
-when in drive or O/D the car shifts smoothly into first and second
-at light throttle the car goes from 2nd to neutral and no 3rd
-at half throttle the car shifts from 2nd to 3rd at over 4k rpm
-WOT works fine
-fluid is full

That being said, with a new TV cable, (adjusted) the corvette service, and new governor, what part could be causing this?
could the length of the TV cable be an issue? it's routed the most direct and spacious route possible, and it loops from the throttle valve, goes all the way up to the top of the firewall, over and strait down. Is this correct? The cable is the same length of the old one, but I'm not sure if the previous owners ever changed it.
The inner cable of the TV cable seems like it's got too much wiggle room. Should the inner cable have any slack in there at all? It's not much, but it's not tight.

If you need anymore information, feel free to ask. Thanks guys

Judging by the tach, or by sound? These tachs are known for become more and more optimistic before they need service.

Re: Nothing seems to fix 700r4

judging by both. The tach doesn't seem too far off from the true rpm's, if it is at all. That being said, the tach is fine.

Sounds like something in the valvebody is going wrong. I'd say put it on jack stands and go through all the gears and see if everything is working fine. Maybe your tv plunger is stuck? Wiggle the hell out of the tv cable to see if you could unstick it. Or maybe one of your checkballs is sticking. Or your boost valve? It sounds like it will need to come out again. I'm no expert but if you had the clutches replaced and the fluid isn't burnt your clutches should be fine. The problem should be in the valvebody.

Leave the trans in the car and take the car to your tranny guy so he can experience the symptoms and diagnose the issue.

hey buddy when you got it pulled did you put a different converter on it? That can mess with it as well as putting the wrong governer on. I think your t.v cable is worn and wouldnt hurt to replace it with a gm oem replacement. Just bring your vin # to the dealership.

Re: Nothing seems to fix 700r4

Sounds like you need a new trans guy and he doesnt know much and throwing parts at it

Its not the tach

your saying you have no 3rd ?
its confusion what your trying to explain

Tv cable adjustment is critical and not proper adjustment you can have variation of shift points when shifting part an wot

IIRC there shouldnt be any slack in TV Cable

Hey I just noticed I live near you apparently. I could come over and help this week sometime if you're not too far from Norristown/King of prussia.
