There was a post I saw a few months ago from way back and I thought I bookmarked it but cannot find it. Here was the basics if anyone can help

I have an 88 iroc that was auto and previous owner converted to 5 speed ( I do not know the make ). Anyway on a 1 mile road out of my house speed limit is 25 and trying to keep a steady 25 the car bucks something fierce. Does not do it at high speed, and it doesnt matter if I am in first or second. Drive shaft joints are tight and in good shape.

The thread talked about when switching from auto to manual you may need to redo the rear axle gear ratio. Said at lower speeds the axle may be trying to push the car. Automatic the tq converter took care of that issue. The thread even had ratio's that you should look and changing to.

If anyone remembers anything about this and can pass along any info or help I would appreciate it.
