I jacked the rear of the car up today and was turning the rear tire and heard a squeak and click noise as I turned the wheel counter clockwise. It does not squeal when I turn wheel clockwise ( turning wheel on drivers side) It turns harder when I turn clockwise. I did do a burnout yesterday leaving my brothers house and he says he only sees one black mark but the car is posi. I Don't really understand that but anyway I'm wondering if I broke something in the tranny? The driveshaft seems a little sloppy going into the tranny? Any ideas?

 

it's worn out. perhaps it's not a posi, have you phsyically seen what's behind the cover?

 

I have not physically looked behind cover. What exactly am I looking for? Both wheels do spin in the same direction. A couple days before this I did a burnout it a smooth parking lot and both wheels spun black marks.
