Hi goy a 91 auto 305 original tranny pooped out, junkyard 700r4 swapped in. My brother in law put it in for me. It shifts great actually chirps tires 1-2 when you get on it, so I think it has a shift kit which is cool. Problem is tach reading incorrectly says I'm cruising at 4500 Rpms at 65 which is obviously not right. Engine def not revving high. Also no tcc lockup it goes through all the gears fine. Hmm where to begin wiring issue? Everything seems to be wired up correctly. I know my back tires are 1 size to tall but should not affect so drastically. would the tach reading wrong affect the lockup? so where to start? Any input appreciated thanks *** oh lockup worked fine before swap and tach read correctly speedometer just a little off due to taller tires
