Noisey clutch, then goes away with minimal pressure
My clutch has a high pitched whine but goes away when I put the slightest pressure. Now I know this has been addressed before and there is even a tech article stating that it's a lack of lubrication on the clutch fork and slave cylinder ball stud but I can't possibly grease it anymore and I'm still getting that high pitched noise. Could it be anything else? It's so aggravating to listen to day in and day out.

Could be the Pilot bearing. Sounds like its time to take it apart and find the problem.

Not the pilot bearing; only time those make noise, is when the engine & trans are turning at different speeds (i.e. clutch depressed).
It's the throwout bearing.

Yes, TB.
But "while you're in there," replace the pilot bearing too.

Re: Noisey clutch, then goes away with minimal pressure
well ive had the car 7 years. replaced the clutch three times, trans once, pressure plate 3 times, flywheel once pilot bearing twice, clutch slave cylinder 3 times, TB 3 times one of them being a nice 40 dollar unit. you name it ive replaced it. and everytime i put everything back together it will stay quiet for about 2 months the start whistling again. it gets slightly worse when its warmed up. last time i put my trans in i noticed the tail shaft had a little wiggle in it. is that normal? could that be part of my problem?

As for "wiggle," if it's not "assembled," any measure of wiggle doesn't matter.
Assembled with installed yoke:

Not assembled:
The same applies to manual trans. input "wiggle" on a unit that's out of the car.
Couldn't tell you much on the TOB except some of the 60s Chevy guys like a certain brand I can't find right now. What's failing on yours? Like some imported ratcheting tools, the quality control on newer TOBs may be down and you may not end up with one that has much grease. That's just me shooting from the hip, but maybe find a way to slightly needle-grease it with a grease gun before install. Just don't over-do it; don't want to sling grease on a clutch.
