clutch pedal is soooo loose

hello I need some help, my clutch pedal is so loose I was wondering anyone would be able to help me tighten it. (when i say lose I mean the actual pedal like it rocks from side to side not back and fourth) I got under the dash last night and saw a bolt, if I tighten that bolt will it tighen up the pedal or is that bold for something totally different?? ill post a picture in a second so you can see what I'm talking about. thanks for your help in advanced....

Re: clutch pedal is soooo loose

Nope; you're correct that that's the pivot bolt for it, but tightening it, won't do anything.

What it needs is the little plastic bushings. You can find em in the Help aisle at yer corner parts store.
