has anyone attempted/completed a diy dana 60 yet ?

Engine: 3.1 Turbo/ 355 twin turbo
Transmission: a4 w/ 4500 stall/ a4 / t5
Axle/Gears: strange s60 /w 3:42's
has anyone attempted/completed a diy dana 60 yet ?

i have access to a bunch of dana 60's , i can handle the brackets , cutting the rear to width welding on the new housing ends etc, has anyone done there own diy dana60 and come up with a good way to do a tq arm mount, i havent been able to dig anything up

If you search dana 60 torque arm on google image there are a bunch of examples.

I think madman makes one as well

im not talking about the arm itself , i mean making a mount on the dana 60 housing

Copy the Buick GNX (no, not Grand National) design and do your own adjustable pinion torque arm.

i missed the link on the top until u said something

i have a few ideas on how to make a diy mount for a factory type tq arm on the dana 60 housing , only problem is i wont know if any of them will work or have clearance untill i get the housing under the car


maybe this week i can get the rear out of the car and mock some stuff up

if it flat out just wont work i may just do a 8.8 swap and see how long it will last behind the new combo
