Rebuilt 700r4 trouble

Hi everyone, I recently had my 700r4 rebuilt by a friend of friend (first mistake) and he supposedly added a B&M trans kit and the tranny is suppose to be stronger than before. After two months I finally got it back and now I do not have reverse unless I mat the throttle and it barely moves. Also when Im driving, from first to second it shifts hard and chirps the tires which I was told it was suppose to do and shifting through other gears it will lose power at the beginning of the gear and take forever to get up to speed. Please note that I am not too transmission swavy so please be specific. Thanks

Did you adjust the TV cable correctly? Either way no reverse = needs to come back out and repaired correctly.

I believe I adjusted it correctly. You give it full throttle and make sure there is a good amount of tension on the cable, is that right?

With the car off, I push the TV sleeve in. Then manually open the throttle all the way listening for a ratchet sound. That's how I do it and I've put 55,000 miles on this transmission. Other people do it different but in the end its the same.
