Re: differential carrier size?

If I understand the question correctly, you need to order a locker for a 7.5" 10 bolt with 26 spline axles.

Re: differential carrier size?

If it's a '86 rear end then the 26 spline will be correct. You need a 3 series to work with the 3.42 gears. If you are looking at one of the Power Trax lockers then it will not work in the Governor Lock differential case. You will have to swap the differential case for a standard 3 series before you can instal the locker.

The 10-Bolt FAQ at the top of the page has pics. My 'guess' is that the car is equipped with an Auburn.

Re: differential carrier size?

V6 cars usually had a standard differential. It would have been a special order if it has anything else.
