Super T-10 4 speed wont shift

I have a S T-10 4 speed in my 83' that I swapped in. I just got the car running and moving under its own power. The clutch setup is an ACT with howe throwout bearing hydraulic setup. The shifter is a Hurst competition plus. The car will shift fine into reverse, 2nd, and 4th but will not go into 1st or 3rd (when the car is running or not). The t10 was just rebuilt. Tranmission fluid is Bred Penn GL4 gear fluid.

I think that the shifter is binding somewhat but isn't all the problem. The shifter feels like it binds in reverse and does not want to come out sometimes. I checked the linkage rods and adjusted them according to hurst instructions (put shifter levers in neutral positions, put pin in shifter to align the shifter to neutral position, adjust buttons accordingly so that they go into the shifter levers easily). I went underneath the car and manually moved the transmission levers and 1st and 3rd go into gear very hard. Can someone point me in the right direction to what the main issue is?

Well I figured out why it wouldn't shift into 1st or 3rd. After triple checking my rods and realized the transmission is shifting just fine when manually rotating the levers, I turned to the shifter. There are 1st/3rd and 2nd/4th shifter adjustable stops and the 1st/3rd adjustable stop was engaged too far while not allowing it to shift into 1st or 3rd. I am relieved that it wasn't a bigger issue but frustrated that I didn't catch the issue sooner.
