Clutch Question - 92 3.1L (going to 3.4L)
I have a 92 3.1L that used to go through clutches with just normal driving (like only 30k miles at most and the springs in the disk would break out). So, I had a transmission guy order me a clutch that would last. He got me a Luk Clutch kit. Never had any problems with it but now it is getting up in mileage (100k or more) and I am about to do the 3.1L to 3.4L swap (new block goes to the shop Monday. So thinking I probably should change the clutch since I am changing the engine out. I looked up a Luk clutch but two are listed. One just says clutch but the other says clutch and has a note about idle dampener/dampening. Anybody know the difference and which I should go with??? I don't know what is in there now....
Thanks...
Thanks...

Sounds like something wasn't right in the first place if the clutches kept failing.

The Luk Clutch has been fine.. I think the broken ones were just cheap Valeo clutch disks.. Anyway, more interested in finding out about the idle dampening.. Yes or no for this car.. I am thinking yes at this point..
