so 3 months in and I finally got the tranny out. looking for any helpful tips or ideas on making the installation of the new one easier. I've been doing this by myself on jackstands. I remember the last time me and my dad had to do this, one of the biggest problems was trying to get the top right bellhousing bolt back in with the dipstick tube and wiring harness clip lined up. The clip fell off when I unbolted it, so I'll probably leave it off. anyone have any ideas on a good flexible dipstick tube on the cheap? I want to just bypass that whole lining up the holes issue completely this time. also, any tips on good rubber line for the cooling lines? I had to cut them, they bent when I tried to unbolt them from the trans. Should I drop on a new torque converter while I have it out? I don't have a lot of money so this will delay the install for a bit, but the condition of the one I would be installing is unknown. Was told it ran perfectly but I've heard that before lol. anything else I should do to it that would be easier while its out of the car?
