86 TPI. 5 speed?

I have what is left of a 86 Z28 that I stripped due to pan rust. It was a 305 TPI with an automatic. I found a 89 V6 5 speed shell that is now accepting all of my 86 parts. I bought a V8 T5 to go with the TPI and see that all 86 TPI cars had to have an automatic?? Is this T5 swap going to work with my "technically 1986 TPI set up?

Did you get the bell housing, flywheel, clutch, etc with the V8 T5? You will need V8 mounts, then drop the 305 in. The V6 and V8 T5s were externally the same (basically) so it will bolt right up.

Use the 86 harness and ECM, an 87 V8 5spd PROM chip, set the park neutral up like a 5 spd car and the rest like pedals and trans, you seem to have covered.

Yes, got the bell housing, new clutch, pressure plate, fork, peddles, slave cylinder, flywheel and some other odds and ends from the 89 and Johnny Blaze. Prom, well different story will have to work on that later.
