World Class T5 wont grinding into second

I bought a 1992 camaro a while ago that grinds into second gear every time. my dad and I did our research and thought that the sychros were bad, so we ended up replacing 2nd gear itself, the 1-2nd gear slider, and all the sychros that go in between. We figured we would replace more than we had to be safe so we wouldn't have to take it all apart again, well that did not work. We put it all back together and it does the same exact thing! The only other thing I could think of would be that the shift fork is bent or something. I can get it into second gear when the tranny is cold and at very low idle or barely moving, anything else it will grind into it every time. Also sometimes when I shift into reverse it will grind a little, but not very often. I know that the shift fork that shifts the slider into second gear also shifts into reverse. Am I right with the problem being a shift fork? Is there something else that is causing it?

The reverse trick is to put it into 5th, then reverse. As for 2nd, my buddy had this problem. When he swapped a new Pro 5.0 Shifter in, the grinding seemed to go away a lot. How this affects it I don't know. It did still grind from time to time. Maybe uninstall and re-install the shifter?
