t56 swap crossmember with a 4l80e trans work?

Engine: 383 HSR w/ novi 2000
Transmission: Built 4l80e circle d converter
Axle/Gears: Currie 9" 3.89 gears
t56 swap crossmember with a 4l80e trans work?
I've been kicking around the idea to swap from a t56 to a 4l80e. The auto has the mount location 1/2" further back than the t56. Has anyone ever actually tried to make the swap crossmember for the t56 work with the 4l80e being that they are that close?
