Re: T56 transmission
Really....
They come from WRECKED CARS. It's not like you can just pick up the phone and order (well,,,, .... ,, .... maybe SOME people can) "I'd like to schedule a 94-97 Z28 or TransAm to be wrecked in my town today so I can buy the motor and trans"
Just gotta pound the pavement until one turns up.
Might find it AHELLUVALOT eeeeeeeeezier on yourself to find a WHOLE car that's been wrecked, rather than a pullout trans. There's about a dozen little pieces that never seem to come with pullouts that you'll tear your hair out trying to find and will cost you giga$$$$$$ when you finally do find them, since they've been discontinued by GM.

Re: T56 transmission
That'd be the plan.
94-97 (behind LT1) is one kind, 98-up (behind LS1) is something different. The earlier one is more likely to be the easier swap but either can be done.

Re: T56 transmission
I got a complete T56 swap off Ls1tech. Just find someone either parting them out, or swapping to automatic. I think I dropped 1400 shipped for everything about 2.5 years ago. Better deals can be found, but I was stationed overseas and needed everything ready to swap when I came home on leave.

Okay thanks guys I'll probably just go to a junkyard and look for a 4th gen v8 and take the tranny.
