early 700r4 manual valve link Please help!!
I had a shift kit installed in my 700r4 so i drove a few weeks with everything fine then all of a sudden i couldn't shift out of drive So when I took it back to the shop they told me my clutch pack "exploded" . My schedule has been pretty busy between work and my last semester in college so yesterday I finally got around to pulling the pan to find out they never bothered to check it at all and were just trying to sell me another tranny.
The manual valve link was disconnected somehow and the clip is nowhere to be found, so I guess for nearly a month I been driving without a clip to hold this linkage before it fell loose from the shifter side. Now my question is whats the best way in getting this clip back on without removing the valvebody? This is an early style WITHOUT the "S" link but with a 90*bend.
