jolt when coming to a stop

Im not sure what is going on so I will give you all information that I know. I have a 89 Pontiac Firebird with 123,000 miles. It has a 5.0 with a 5 speed transmission. The previous owner claims it has a 350 but after running the engine code it came back a 305. The throw out bearing is starting to make noise while the car is in gear and i'm not on the gas or don't have the clutch pedal pushed in. Now when I am driving and coming to a stop at about 1 or 2 mph the car jolts to a stop. Is that my rear end, a u joint or could it be the transmission? I am not that great at diagnosing problems but am very mechanically inclined and good at taking things apart and fixing them. I could really use some help here. Any questions that you have that could help I will answer my best. Thank you in advance.

Check your torque arm and trans mounts.

Re: jolt when coming to a stop

I haven't checked those yet. I will tomorrow. I noticed fluid leaking from the bottom of the diff so I pulled the cover to do a fluid change and noticed scarring. What could cause that? I'll try to load a pic
