No; no matter which way you are swapping.

Re: Swapping t5 for TH350

Depends on which way you are swapping. Your original question is completely vague on that point.

Drive shaft for a 350 has to be around 3" longer than for a T-5 (unless you have a long-tail 350, which isn't real common), and the crossmember for a 350 has to locate the trans mount about 5" further forward than the T-5 requires.

To put a 350 into a T-5 car, only "stock" stuff I know of that will work for that, is the stuff out of a 82 200C car. If you're going the other way it's ALOT eeeeeeezier; all you need is the drive shaft and crossmember out of any T-5 or 700 car.

Then of course if you're putting a 350 into a T-5 car you still have to deal with the torque arm. But that's a breeze if you're taking the foreign trans out and putting the right one back in.

the stock xmember should work with a couple mods not sure if the t5 one is the same as the 700 , i modified mine on a 700 to th350 swap .at the same time i fabbed a tq arm mount onto the x member

Re: Swapping t5 for TH350

A TH350 built with:
2WD 700-R4 to TH350 Switch Kit (spacer and long output shaft)
and 83-92 F-body 700-R4 tailhousing
and 83-92 F-body 700-R4 torque arm bracket
plus:
a T5/700-R4 crossmember
Will bolt right in using your driveshaft.

If it's an 82, crossmember bolt holes in the floor are different.

Would I spend extra to go TH350 instead of 700-R4? No, I would just go with the 700-R4.
