I have a th350 that I bought used to install in my 1982 camaro I finished installing yesterday but when I shift in to gear the car doesn't do anything in any gear as if the gears aren't engaging any help to fix my problem will be greatly appriciated

 

Full of fluid?

Torque converter bolted to flex plate?

Converter carefully installed all the way onto the pump before putting the trans in, so that it didn't mash up against the pump gears and destroy the pump?

 

Yes the fluid is to the top of the full line
Yes the torque converter is bolted to flex plate
Yes I carefully installed the torque converter by lifting it and spinning it until it didn't go in any further in & thanks for your quick reply

 

How much fluid did you put in it? Does the level go WAY down when the engine is started?

 

I put around 9 quarts and no the fluid marks full hot when the car is runing

 

maybe the trans was junk
