Hello,

I am having issues with my 700r4 transmission. Right now I have my car on jack stands thinking I had wheel rub or something wrong with my diff but the noise seems to be coming from the transmission.

So this is what I know.

Park - Rev it up, nothing
Reverse - Rev it up to the max, nothing
Neutral - Nothing
Drive - Rev it up past 2k, you hear a horrible loud whine

So for any transmission experts please help me out.

 

Nevermind....I am a moron lol.

I guess my ears were playing tricks on me. I removed my tires and my brake drums.....noise went away......

Put brake drums back on, noise comes back.....I think it is the backing plate.

My bad lol
