I am looking to fellow Thirdgenners to help in my decision. I have been watching the board and have found that there is confusion on my part on whether to purchase a new gear for my 350 formula or not. Many people have stated that it does not show much performance gain to go from the current 327 gear I have to a 373 or 410. Some people have stated it would and other have said not to do it. My final question to you all, is it really worth spending the $600/800 to purchase and install another gear in my auto???

Also, I have an Australian 9bolt 3 carrier rearend in my formula.

I see little need for a lower gear with your L98 setup. should be about right. I run 3.73 but I have a stock 305 H.O. so I kind of need those gears. save the $$$ do some suspension mods or take a nice vacation to jamaica.......the air rates are nice and low.
