Heat and t5
Hi, I am almost done fabricating a new exhaust, on one side it gets pretty dam close to the tranny and it just occurred to me that it may be a heat issue ?
Will my t5 get damaged by exhaust heat ?
I do not know how hot the tranny runs anyhow , and if it will make any difference.
Kind regards
Ant

Re: Heat and t5
A heat shield is a decent idea.
Ceramic coating of pipes is worthwhile on a quality header or exhaust pipes.
Heat isn't a huge deal on a stick. trans like it is in an automatic, but there's no reason to heat it up if it can be avoided, either.
