Speedo gears and trans rebuild

Can someone confirm my part numbers, it's a 700r4 matted to a 3:73 ring and pinion with factory 245/50/16

I have drive gear grey 8642620
Driven dark grey 9780470
Sleeve driven gear 25007339

I've been driving this car putting extra miles on it for no reason but procrastination

Thanks

Re: Speedo gears and trans rebuild

Recently got a fresh rebuild on my 700r4. I asked the shop to replace the drive and driven gears for the speedo but they never did.

Do I need to drop the tail housing?

Is there fluid inside this housing?

I'm assuming yes to both of these questions.

Really wish the shop replaced these gears as I even provided part numbers

There is a small amount of fluid in the tail housing.
Not sure on your part number I think it should be 8 digits for 89-92.

Thanks for the confirmation on the 15/44

Just wondering if i need 3 different parts:
1. 44 tooth
2. 15 tooth
3. Sleeve driven gear 25007339 ? I made this post awhile back and can't find info what pointed me to this part. What does it do?

Can I just use the 15/44?

Re: Speedo gears and trans rebuild

Iirc the vss covers 40-45 driven gears.
gm 10456088 or 10456089, standard motors sc12 34 to 39 tooth driven gear and sc13 40 to 45 tooth driven gear.

So chances are if I'm doing a basic swap from 3:23 to 3:73 I shouldn't need this part?

Re: Speedo gears and trans rebuild

Assuming you have a blue 38 you just need the driven gear.

Re: Speedo gears and trans rebuild

9780470 is for speedometer cable drive, not VSS.
