Where can i buy clutch packs for posi
I have an 85 trans am with what i believe to be a 10 bolt 7.5" 26 spline posi rear end. Havent had any luck at finding new clutches for it. I thought i read on here somewhere they were eaton posi and parts could still be purchased. I would rather buy clutch pack for 100 or so then 350-500 for a new posi. Anyone that could point me in the right direction would help a lot. Thanks

Your car most likely has the Auburn differential, which can not be rebuilt. When it wears out it's scrap metal. Quick Performance has good prices on the Yukon Dura Grip, which is a good differential and it can be rebuilt. You must have 3.23 to 4.56 gears to use it. If you have 3.08 to 2.14 gears then you are going to have to get a 2 series Auburn, or change the gears.
What $360 ebay diff are you talking about?

Your stock Auburn POS is not rebuildable. Throw it in the trash and start over.
That link is just ... yeah ....
Just post the item ID #, not a link. Maybe we can identify it. I can't comment on whether "ebay" stuff is any good or not, since ebay doesn't sell STUFF; all it sells is a forum to allow other people to sell whatever STUFF they happen to have. Some of which is priceless, some utter crap. Just being on ebay doesn't automatically mean it's either the one or the other.
Avoid the Eaton Gov-lock and any Auburn products. An actual Eaton NOT Gov-Lock is a fine unit; the Zexel Torsen such as in LS1 Camaro & Firebird is even better.
Whatever unit you get, you'd do best to replace the axles with 28-spline at the same time. And of course there's the issue of "series", which is dependent on what your rear's original gears were. You can identify the "series" of a carrier pretty easy by eye: the area between the ring gear flange and the carrier bearing is sort of cone-shaped on a 3 series, but is much flatter on a 2 series, in order to move the ring about .400" farther away from the CL of the larger dia pinion in the low-# ratios.
2 series on the left, 3 on the right.
