tranny bouncing in and out at slow speeds
tranny bouncing in and out at slow speeds
Hey guys , I have a 1988 RS, 305TBI, 700R4 as my daily driver. I have started having a prob with the car jerking back and forth as if the tranny is going in and out of gears at cruising speeds (20-40 mph)....... any ideas ???

Next time it acts up, depress and ride the brake pedal slightly.
If it goes away, it's the converter locking and unlocking (hunting).
Could be a bad lockup solenoid or 3-4 pressure switch on the valvebody.

TBI, then its prob a 1989 ??!!?? Its my second car man ...... Other than keeping it clean and regularly maintained I haven't paid that much attention to it....
F-Bird..... where is the lockup solinoid ?? Will I have to remove the pan ?? Or is it externally mounted ?
Thanks F-Bird....
