i have a 87 z28 5.0 carb automatic car. GU2 rear end. I have no odd sounds coming from the rear end. So here’s my issue
Iput the rear on jackstands start spinning the wheels on the driver side and they start to spin opposite . directions from each other then one wheel stops while I am still spinning the wheels. So I change directions and they both start spinning for a few turns then only the wheel I’m spinning is turning. Also the drivers side is hard to turn while the passenger side move extremely free. My question is what would cause this ?

Re: Rear differential help?
Posi and spool spin together. One legs spin opposite or one tire.

Re: Rear differential help?
I have the same rear end in my '87 and it does the same thing when on stands. So ya it's supposed to do that lol!
