Will 14088650 Flywheel actually be a GM part?

If I order one of these, will it actually be a GM part, which would help to justify the cost, or is it just a rebranded Chinese flywheel that I can buy for half the price elsewhere?

It's a real GM Part. If you spend 300 bucks at a GM Performance Parts or a GM dealer, you'll get 1 year warranty with it. Now the question is....who's making them for GM. THAT you would have to ask them. Just my take.

In this day in age, I'm not overly concerned with who actually makes them. I just don't want to spend 3x the price to get the exact same Chinese flywheel, dressed up in a GM box, that I can get at the local parts store. If it is a real GM part, then hopefully it is manufactured to a higher standard, even if it is still made in China.

I hear ya. I try to buy GM stuff when I can. IDK, warm fuzzy I guess.
