4L60 non lock-up..vs lock-up
HI,
I have a 1990 iroc-z with the 350 ci and a 4L60. awhile back i had tranny work done and told the guy i was going to use a non loc-up converter. after i drove it a few times, was not happy with the loss of overdrive, so i installed stock converter...put it in drive and car stalled like i dumped the clutch in a standard..installed brand new street fighter converter...same thing..PLEASE HELP!!

Did you rotate the converter at least 3 times around while pushing it towards the transmission to fully seat the converter?
Also, a non-lockup converter would not cause you to lose overdrive. The only thing you should lose is the lockup.
You should still have all 4 gears.
