E brake cables

E brake cables
Hello all,
My son's 92 RS (305 tbi) we swapped rear ends, going from a 3.08-3.23 open diff to a (aftermarket gear) 3.73 gov loc with disc brakes. The code on the axle is 6HS c03 31. Well both E brake cables are frozen so I looked up new ones and 2 different lengths were listed. Not listed as pass or driver side but different lengths? Should I measure the old ones and order those or what? Any help would be appreciated.

That is a fun topic... (sarcasm).
First question is which rear discs are you using? Gov-loc as a general rule isn't something you'd find in a 90-92 Camaro. If your calipers are the iron type used from 82-88, you need cables from an 82-88.
When you get into the aluminum calipers used from 89-92, there are two different types that were used.
GM 10164125 (1st design) Parking Brake Cable
GM 10164193 (2nd design) Parking Brake Cable
Now as far as which you should use... Your guess is as good as mine. You might try a search, and look at old threads, because this comes up regularly.
The official catalog page isn't much help either. The 90-92 disc cable part numbers have been revised to the numbers I posted above. J65 is the 4wd code. 1LE in the description should be aluminum calipers.
FWIW.
