Will the LT1 Flywheel work on the L98?

Hey folks, I picked up a '97 Camaro with an LT1 and a T56, my daughter has taken over my '89 IROC and wants to put the T56 in it. Personally I'd like to put the LT1 and T56 in the car, but I'm getting conflicting info on the smog aspects here in California.

So anyways, is the LT1 flywheel compatible with the L98?

Backside of the L98 and LT1 are the same. Yes.

If you have a truly complete LT1 donor, that is the easy way to do the swap, too. Don't pass that up!

I agree, but like I said, Ca smog laws are strange. I think I'll have to call the BAR to get clarification

Thanks

8Mike9, just curious how the BAR regulations played out? I'm considering this swap in CO and we tend to follow CA rules (though not quite as strict for the time being).

What I learned was everything, I mean everything needed to work like it was in the year/car it came from. Just not with the hassle, so decided to just go with the T56 swap instead
