shift shaft is loose goes in and out of the transmission about a quarter of an inch if it moves out 1/4 inch you cannot get 2nd and 1st gear if you push it back in flush with the case you get 1st and 2nd gear is there something that holds it tight against the housing on the inside of the transmission how would you replace that and can you fix that without dropping the transmission
