TKO swap question

Bought the tko600 kit from Fortes a couple years ago and never got around to installing it. I just had some questions about the TO bearing as I've seen a few people mention you need a TO bearing that is 1" longer than a stock, but I havent been able to find anything about it specifically. Also now wondering about the clutch as someone said you need a use a ford splined clutchplate?
