pilot bushing wear normal?
Hi, clutch jobs wrapping up, just waiting for the front bearing retainer. Was losing hope on finding one until I found a guy in a tiny town in Oregon off the beaten path that increases the transit time an extra
day. But hopefully all good. If it shows in good shape as stated I'll be happy. He said he has eight more if anyone needs one. This is the pilot bushing next to the new one. Is this indicative of anything I need to fix or just wear from really long service? Once again thanks for your help guys, this is the first clutch job I've actually seen up close, so new stuff for me.

Yeah that's just old age, and lube failure... always use good quality grease in those. Mobil1 or the like. Fill the cavity up behind it as much as you can, but don't put in so much that installing the trans "hydraulics" the bushing back out of the crank.
