700r4 occasionally slipping

Alright, so my 700r4 has been occasionally slipping from 15 mph to around 25/30 mph(I think those are the 1-2 bands, I’m honestly not sure) but it eventually stops around 20 minutes of driving. Can a dirty transmission filter cause something like this? I’ve ordered a new mount cause the current one is broken and I’m guessing it’s the culprit to the minor wheel hop. I’ve also ordered a new filter too and a corvette servo which I heard will essentially be a band aid for the bands for the mean time if they are going out. My TV cable is properly adjusted and recently flushed the old 700r4 when I replaced the pan gasket. I can’t afford a rebuild right now and any insight will be appreciated.

I’ve never seen a filter change fix a slipping trans. I tried it once and it didn’t work for me. Filter+fluid cost ain’t cheap either.

If the oil looks good and still smells ok, then leave it alone. Add the Corvette servo at a minimum. Describe the slipping that you say you have here? If you manually shift it does the shift improve?

What do you mean manually shift? Like 1st to 2nd to Drive and OD? If that’s the case, yes, nothing happens. It starts slipping out of the blue and only rarely but enough for me to notice. It’ll feel like I’m revving too high for the speed I’m going and it’ll jerk into what I’m guessing is 2nd. If I just floor it at half throttle - WOT, doesn’t slip at all and it shifts absolutely perfect. I don’t want to be stepping on it every time until I reach 30mph but that’s what I’ve been doing until I notice the slippage disappears. What I don’t understand and like is that it’s not consistent.

When you manually shift it, it should shift a little firmer than if left in overdrive. Put on a 0-300 psi. gauge to get some readings. Check pressures when it is normal and what pressure changes occur when the slipping happens.
