Th400

Ok I’m reading the threads and numbers are all over. I’m looking to get a driveshaft for my th400 install. From what I read it sounds like I need a 47 inch driveshaft. Am I reading that right. I got this trans with a yoke but I’m not sure I feel safe with the yoke. It’s 6inches long after the joint leaving 4inches exposed with the full engagement. I mean it’s long enough I can hook to the factory third gen driveshaft.

Re: Th400

That's an extended Yoke, do what should be done a get a proper one, then do to the many sites that show you how to measure for a drive shaft...suggestion though...find a shop locally and ask them...if you use their measurements and the shaft is too long or short, they will have to make it right. If you order on line and order wrong, you will now have an extra drive shaft in the corner of the shop.
