I project to change my mount transmission by poly mount Energy Suspension and arm control bushing

If you don't want to risk it, buy two stock replacement mounts instead. One for now, another for when it breaks.

The ES mount sometimes will create problems. Most of the time they work fine. The only way to find out is to try it on your car and see. In my case, removing the preload plate and properly aligning the transmission got the odd vibes and noises to go away. Some people have more trouble with it.

Shouldn't make much difference. The transmission and crossmember was the same from 83-92. All the slotted holes will line things up if the crossmember and mount are shifted around. The second style mount is probably the better choice, but both should bolt up "OK".

The poly mount all but requires opening the slot in the center of the crossmember, since the bolts on the ES mount are larger diameter than the stud on the factory style mounts.

If you get the transmission off-center, and tighten the mount with everything cocked out of place, you'll get bad vibes. If you let the tail of the transmission self-center and keep the crossmember and mount from binding, they tend to run smoother. Much of the issue with mounts likely has to do with people who shouldn't be working on cars, or are simply too finicky.

Agreed on the vibration. I noticed a big increase in vibration when I tried a urethane mount. Ill gladly change out stock mounts more often. Mine seem to last a few years but it only takes me about 20 min to swap the mount so its an easy choice.

Re: Transmission mount Energy Suspension on 1987 GTA TH700

I too had horrible vibrations with the ES mount. I had a V6 from 2005 till 2018 and swapped the V6 for a V8 (bone stock in every way). I had the ES mount on my V6 without any problems so I reused it for my V8 swap. From day one I had vibrations from 1100-1450 rpm and horrible vibrations above 3500 rpm. The whole car was shaking really bad. I wasn't able to find the culprit until I read about vibrations with the ES mount. I swapped it for a cheapo standard replacement just two weeks ago and guess what: No more vibrations! Finally I can enjoy my car without thinking where these vibrations may come from.
And yes, the ES mount was mounted correct and with everything centered and aligned. I couldn't believe that this was the culprit for my problems until I tested it myself.

I finally change with an ANCHOR 2392, and was mounted correct and with everything centered and aligned.

But my problem is not resolve by this changment of mount.

My problem : bad downshifting in D, at the end of braking... in 1 first gear I suppose... then a little sudden, a sensation of relaxation to the transmission... but in a little suddent not linear.
But I haven't this problem in OD.
