My 91 Camaro RS with the 305 5speed transmissions at times when parked or at standstill won't let me shift it into 1st gear or reverse. I can take off slowly in second gear and then shift to 1st and it'll go into gear. It just won't go into 1st when I'm stopped. When I go to put it in reverse sometimes it won't go into gear either till I shift it into a different gear and then go back to reverse. Both of these problems, however, happen only a few times and most of the time my Transmission works perfectly fine. It doesn't grind or anything when I shift into gears, so why is my transmission doing this at random times and how can I fix it?
