Manual valve body to auto conversion?

So my 700r4 has a manual valve body and I want to go back to a regular auto shift valve body. Is this swap something easy to do in a driveway? Will I just need an oem valve body, or will other parts be needed?

Also, I have seen some cars that will drive like a regular auto in drive, but you can shift it up or down whenever you want and it will hold until you return it back to drive or shift it to another gear. I would like something like this, but not sure what kind of valve body that is

Re: Manual valve body to auto conversion?

Sometimes you can just replace the valve body with a stock one and it'll go back. Depends though on what else has been done to the transmission at the time they installed the other; if they drilled any holes out in the case, etc.

If it was me I think I'd try to sell the one transmission and use the cash to buy another. Sofakingdom's Patented Copyrighted Proprietary 2-step Swap Method, Using Alchemy and Transmutation of Materials. It's an AMAZING discovery, works for ANYTHING, using cash as the intermediary:

Step 1: Sell the thing you DON'T want
Step 2: Use the money to buy the thing you DO want
