700r4 downshifting too much
Hi, I have a 700r4 in a 1992 RS that keeps downshifting into 2nd gear when I give the car 100% throttle.
even though I'm going too fast for 2nd gear.
the trans did this when I had the stock 2:73 gears and now with 3:42 gears.
Issue is 2nd gear with 3:42s only goes to about 65mph at 5,000rpm
Trans will still downshift into 2nd at 90+ mph.
Regular ,1-2 2-3 shifts are at 4,700-5,000 rpm.
Things I've tried:
new fluid/filterCorvette servoAdjusted the TV cable.
all 3 made the trans preform better, but it will still try to downshift into 2nd even when it can't.
Trans has 150,000 miles almost all highway
