New rear, does this sound right to you?

Hey guys... heres the deal:
I finally swapped the 3.45 9 bolt rear from my parts GTA to my 92 Vert(in sig) which had a 2:73. I didnt notice all too much of a difference, and my mph is only off by exactly 10mph cruzin in 5th(WCt5 Tranny, verified mph next to friends diAmante). Does this sound correct? Also, what would be the correct speedo gear combo with he new rear... The guys at my local dealer dont know what the hell I was even talkin about, and couldnt find the right part #'s... so I need to bring them the damn part #'s!
Thanks in advance!

Sorry I can't help with the tech part. But hows the performance difference? Does she really pull now with bigger gears? Some details, thanks, cuz I still got 2.77, wondering how bigger gears are.

2:73 10 bolt to 3.45 9 bolt... not as much gain as I would have hoped, but it does pull longer, and higher.

Really? Nothing special, still feels about the same performance wise? I guess gears really arent worth it. Ya gotta take it to the track to compare to your current 2.73 ET to your 3.45 ET! Write back when ya do, love to see the stats difference.

i dont know what went wrong where, but moving from 2.73 to 3.45 should have made a HUGE difference. maybe you didnt have 2.73 in there to begin with, or someone before you threw a set of gears in there.

They hadta be 2.73, poss. 3.08, cause at 80 mph, I was doin 2 k on the nose... In my GTA, 700r4 and 3.27, at 60 mph I was doin 2k.

Funny thing is this: My old GTA, which the new rear came out of, was also a 5 speed. At 2k, like my auto GTA, I was doin 2k at 60. In my vert, on the other hand, im doin about 1700, give or take, at 60. Guess this t5 is geared differently than my old one.

Thats how it figured out... Even though I didnt get all that much outa it, I now have rear discs so Im happy.
