Tc choices

Hey guys, I'm looking for some guidance with torque converter selection. The car will never see the strip, just general street shenanigans.

383ci, edelbrock e tec 200 heads, comp cams magnum 286hr, around 10:1 compression. Pretty much seems like the cam wants a 3000rpm converter and the heads start to run out of steam above 6000rpm. The car has 15" (245/70) wheels with 3.08 gears and a th350 transmission. The car is purely for pleasure, and therefore I feel highway performance for frequent driving is not of major concern. This car will see probably only see 600 miles a year or less on the highway. If I later decide that I need highway performance I'll go back to a 700r4.

I guess I'm looking more for brand/ model of converter than stall speed suggestions, although if you think 3000 is a bad idea for a street car then I'm all ears. I've had bad luck with a tci converter on a 700r4 in the past so I'd like to avoid a similar situation.

Thanks for your input.
