Where to find posi

I have a 91 RS TBI with the 2.73 gear and i was wondering where could i most easily get a posi setup for my car, most preferably with 3.42 gear? Can a posi setup be bolted into my axle housing or does the housing have to be changed too?

get the SLP take off posi from SLP, only 99 bucks. It will swap right in, gears need to be 3 series. Im going with the slp posi and richmonds 3.73 in the spring.

yeah, i believe you can only get it from SLP. It comes off of new z28's that are going to become SS's, the SS's get a heavy duty version of the posi. The posi is still pretty strong from what i hear, it does come off a car with over 300HP.

ME Leigh, go to www.slponline.com, the part number is 64501T, $99.95.

Berlinetta, I also have a 91 RS with the weak 2.73 gears. I just picked up a set of 3.23s off ebay and I will be doing the SLP takeoff posi install when I get around to it. It's just too good...and damn economical....to pass up.

Yeah, they'll bolt right up. The easiest is to do what I did and get a set of 4th gen gears that someone is unloading, they're cheap and fairly common. A lot of the 4th gen guys swap their 3.23s for 3.73s or 3.42s. The 3.42s might be a little harder to stumble upon but you could always get a new set if that's what you want. I don't race or anything so 3.23s will be great for my daily driver. I got my gears for around $35, so it's one hell of a deal indeed!!
