TV valve replacement with Transgo Jr: Valve Body removal? Your help pls.
I am in the project of replacing the stuck TV valve of my 1986 700r4 automatic transmission and I want to ask you if to replace the TV valve with the Transgo Kit 700 Jr the valve body must be removed or the replacement can be done with the valve body installed.
Is it necessary to remove the 2 pins of the TV valve assembly or only the first one?
Thanks for your help,
Denis V.

As Dana said, there is a Roll-Pin that must be removed to access the Valve...
and the Valve-Body must be removed in order to remove the Roll-Pin and Valve.

O.K.
Thanks for your help.
Since I'll need remove the valve body, I could remove some check ***** if this improves the tranny performance.
If so, which ***** do you recommend me to eliminate?
According my Tech Manual, there are 10 check ***** in this 86' 700r4:
CASE:
#1: 4th accumulator
#3: part throttle/drive 3
#4: 3-4 clutch/3-2 ex.
#8: 2nd/1-2
#9: detent/lo
VALVE BODY:
#2: 3rd clutch accumulator
#5: lo/rev
#6: drive 3
#10: t.v. exhaust
#7: not mentioned. I suposse it is a "capturate" or "trapped internal" check ball
Anny advice will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Just follow the instructions and don't try to outsmart the engineers.... The only other c/b you can remove is the lo/rev in the case (if it hasn't fallen out the retainer already). Pull the c/b, but leave the capsule in.
