9 Inch Braided Brake Lines to Factory Lines Issue
9 Inch Braided Brake Lines to Factory Lines Issue
Hey guys,
I'm battling an issue here that has me stumped.
I recently installed a 9 inch from Quick Performance and they offered a set of braided lines to mount up to the new Wilwood drag brake setup so I sprung for that also.
Unfortunately, both of the conversion fittings (I think 3/16 and 1/4) do not fit the factory brake line going to the back of the car. The factory fitting is larger than the conversion fittings.
I'm fairly certain the fitting on the car is 5/16, but I'm not 100% sure.
Has anyone used these parts before in their car? If so, any recommendations on how to make this all work?

Those pesky details.
OK, the lines on the car are metric. The one where the rubber hose goes to the end of the steel line on that bracket, is 6mm bubble flare.

I have had muscle cars & regular over years & never used braided lines? There is really no reason except for appearance. Nor have I ever used stainless - no reason. There are so difficult to get tight enough to prevent leaks
