Swaying and whining
I have a 85 z28 with 308 ratio. Its swaying on acceleration and deceleration and whining. I changed lca 's and panhard bar and everything else seems tight. what else can it be?

The suspension depends on the axle being a rigid member. Make sure it is still rigid, that none of the welds cracked at any of the brackets, and same with axle tube where it joins the center section. Make sure the axle shaft doesn't have excessive end play (have to remove brake calipers to do that).
Whining noises often come from rotating parts that are unhappy. Figure out what general device the sound is coming from (transmission, axle, wheel bearings, etc...) and dig in to figure out what is worn or broken.
