1-2 Accumulator: Transgo Jr springs or Sonnax pinless piston?
Hi,
Finnally, I'm installing my Transgo shif kit Jr and the Sonnax pinless pistons in the 1-2 and 3-4 accumulators. I did much searchs and it seems orange + blue Transgo springs kit are uncompatibles with the Sonnax pinless piston for the 1-2 accumulator.
Since I should choose one of the 2 alternatives for the 1-2 accumulator, which one could you suggest?:
a).- Use the Transgo Jr solution with the aluminum piston that I already have, with the pin + orange and blue springs, or
b).- Use the Sonnax pinless piston with the original spring
My car has stock engine 305 TPI and stock transmission 1986 700r4, with stock 9 bolts BW diff. 3.27. It's for STREET use.
Also, when I removed the servo, I found the orange return spring broken.
I have 2 alternatives made at a local shop:
1.- One of 30 mm. long (original is 28.5 mm.) with 3 turns and
2.- Another 40 mm. long with 4 turns, much stronger than the previous one.
Which one would you recommend I install?
The servo is also stock and will have the spring that comes in the Transgo Jr kit incorporated into the piston.
Thanks for any advice
Denis V.
